MOTHER'S DAY PHONE CALL
Sunday afternoon we received our phone call from Dillon. We were all so excited waiting to hear from him as it has been since Christmas since we had talked to him.
He sounds no only great, but he says FANTASTIC, which is exactly what a mother wants to hear. He was so upbeat and excited about everything about his mission. He is trilled that he has not been transferred yet in 6 months, as he is working with so many families that he really wants to stay and see them all get baptized. He has already baptized his first family.
He loves the members in his ward. They feed him daily, which is always something on my mind. I want to know that he is being fed good meals everyday. He also, has learned to cook a little more.
Dillon had a good chuckle when he heard Dalton talk on the phone, as he said Dalton sounds so much older. His voice has changed, I guess, since Dillon left.
Dillon talked to Dalton and Amanda and got caught up on what is happening in their lives. Dad and I asked him a bunch of questions that parents are always wondering about. His health is good, now that the alergies are better. That is because it is now in the 90's and dry. The smog is really bad, he said you can't even see the mountains that surround the city, unless it rains.
He said that the time is going by really fast. Our next call will be at Christmas and at that time he will be over half way done with his mission.
He asks that we say HI TO ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND ASK THAT THEY SEND HIM NOTES OR LETTERS. ANYTHING, JUST SAY HI.
They live for their mail, and really appreciate every time someone writes.
As his mom, I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT YOU GIVE HIM.
It was a great Mother's Day and a great phone call.

Mark Ramsey surprised Dillon in Bakersfield

Mark and his dad Bill, drove 2 1/2 hours to surprise Dillon. He just knocked on his door. I guess the look on Dillon's face said it all. Mark's dad said that Mark was sooooo excited, that was all he could talk about was seeing his best friend.
They took Dillon and his companion out to lunch and had a great time. Mark's dad, Bill said that before Dillon comes home, he needs to go to Madesto, CA and give Bill the whole missionary discussions.
